Two sessions planned for the area aiming to educate seniors on scams and fires

Two sessions taking place in our area are aiming to educate seniors about staying safe from scams and fires.

The sessions, taking place on August 13th at the Sebringville Fire Station and August 14th at the Shakespeare Optimist Hall, are being put on by the Perth East Fire Department and Perth County OPP with experts on hand to speak about scams and fires, which both pose serious threats to seniors in our area.

There has been an increasing number of instances where residents have been victims of scams, with seniors being identified as the most vulnerable targets for scammers.

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece and MP John Nater have also both been invited to attend the sessions.
