“A landmark and gateway that reflects the character and values of the community.”
That’s what officials in St.Marys are hoping will be created as they seek an artist or team to create a public work of art for the Town Hall Courtyard on Queen Street East.
Officials say applications for the free-standing work will be accepted through the Town’s Bids and Tenders web-portal until August 15th at 2:30 p.m.
The Town Hall courtyard piece is the first step of a multi-stage Public Art Project that Council approved in 2018 with support from the St. Marys Business Improvement Area (BIA).
They say the project was made possible by funding received through the Ontario government’s Main Street Revitalization Initiative.
