Layoffs are coming at the General Motors plant in Ingersoll.
On their website, Unifor 88 announced Thursday that the plant will experience layoff weeks in the last quarter of 2019 with the first layoff scheduled to be the week of September 30th.
They say the company hasn’t confirmed when the next layoffs will take place or how many there will be
The plant in Mexico that produces the Equinox will be informed that they will be reducing a shift, down to two shifts, starting August 12th.
They add that trades will continue working through the layoffs.
