West Perth to receive funding for Henry Street Reconstruction Project in Mitchell

It’s good news for West Perth when it comes to their application for federal and provincial funding for Mitchell.

After having the application approved, the federal government will contribute over $471-thousand and Ontario will contribute over $314-thousand with all of the funding going towards the Henry Street Reconstruction Project in Mitchell.

This funding will allow the municipality to reconstruct approximately 610 metres of Henry Street, replace road granular and pavement, and add sidewalks, curbs and gutters.

The funding from both levels of government is coming from the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan with West Perth chipping in $157,500 for the project.
