Witnesses being sought by police after collision near Staffa

Police are appealing to the public for information about a collision that sent five people to the hospital.

Around 7:30 p.m. on August 18th, first responders were called out to the intersection of Perth Road 180/Hern Line and Line 17, south of Staffa.

Police say a sedan travelling east on Line 17 collided with a sedan travelling north on Road 180.

They say four people in the eastbound sedan were brought to the hospital with minor injuries while a person in the northbound sedan was airlifted to London by air ambulance with serious injuries.

Investigators say traffic on Line 17 is regulated by a Stop Sign. Road 180 has the right of way.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to call the Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
