Three drivers charged with racing in Perth County

It’s been a busy few days for Perth County OPP when it comes to cracking down on excessive speeding.

On Tuesday, police say officers saw two separate vehicles within 15 minutes of each other, travelling on Perth Line 34, east of Mitchell.

Officers say they determined that the vehicles were going 50 kilometres over the posted speed limit and they were stopped by police.

A 17-year-old Woodstock male and a 48-year-old Toronto man have each been charged with racing.

Their licenses were seized and they were suspended from driving with each having a future court date in Stratford.

Last Friday, police say an 18-year-old West Perth male was caught racing On Perth Line 34, west of Dublin.

He was charged with racing, his license was seized and he was suspended from driving with a future court date scheduled in Stratford.
