Stratford holding another household hazardous waste collection

If you’re starting to get your home ready for fall, you might have some hazardous waste to get rid of.

To help with that, the City of Stratford is holding another household hazardous waste collection on Saturday.

Organizers say that if you have unwanted materials that are corrosive, explosive, poisonous or flammable in your home, you can bring them to the Romeo Street landfill site from 9 a.m. to noon.

They will be taking things like pesticides, fertilizers and other household chemicals.

You’re being asked to make sure that the products are tightly sealed and in their original containers, and never mix any of these materials together.

You can place them in the trunk of your vehicle and drive to the household hazardous waste depot at the landfill site, where trained professionals will take them.
