Blood donor clinic being put on in Milverton

The Perth East Fire Department is teaming up with Canadian Blood Services to give the gift of life.

For the third year in a row, the two are coming together to hold a blood donor clinic in honour of Krista-Leigh Shiell who was involved in an incident in April 2006 that saw her suffer severe internal injuries when an unoccupied vehicle rolled back and pinned her

against a garage.

Her life was saved through blood donations and she’s being used as an example of what donating blood can mean.

The clinic is taking place next Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Perth East Recreation Complex in Milverton.
