Stratford area to be featured in Netflix movie just ahead of Halloween

Our area is set to hit the television screen just in time for Halloween.

In The Tall Grass,  which features a spooky church set that was built between Stratford and St.Marys, will be available to stream on Netflix as of October 4th.

A unique crop of tall grass that grows in the Perth South area was credited as being the deciding factor behind producers deciding to film in the area.

The set no longer stands but it was a popular spot for visitors to stop and take pictures while it was there.

In The Tall Grass is based on a Stephen King novella from 2012 with the story taking place when “after hearing a young boy’s cry for help, a brother and sister venture into a vast field of grass in Kansas but soon discover that there may be no way out.”
