Students come together in Stratford to call for action on climate change

Hundreds of thousands of young people are marching in cities around the world to demand politicians heading to a UN summit on climate change take immediate action.

In Washington, students carried signs reading “There is no Planet B” and “This can’t wait until I finish school.”

Here at home, a #Fridaysforfuture street parade and rally was held in Market Square with students and others coming together to chant, march and call for action on climate change.

The Global Climate Strike events ranged from a small gathering in Seoul where LED flashlights were used to send Morse code messages calling for action to Australian demonstrations that organizers estimate were the country’s largest protests since the Iraq War in 2003
