Fourth annual Walk ‘n Roll with L’Arche in Stratford fast approaching

It’s another opportunity to help out the community in Stratford.

The fourth annual Walk and Roll with L’Arche event takes place Saturday, October 19th, with participants walking and rolling from the Upper Queen’s Park Bandshell, around Lake Victoria, and then back to where it started.

The event raises money for L’Arche Stratford, an organization that provides a support network for people with intellectual disabilities, and organizers of the event say it has grown from 80 participants in its first year to 150 last year.

Christopher Cantlon is a board member with L’Arche Stratford and he says the money raised is invaluable.

“All the money that is raised goes toward extra things for the people we look after, sometimes it’s a new piece of equipment, sometimes it’s any number of things that can help us out.”

Registration for the event starts at 9:30 a.m. at Upper Queen’s Park with the walk and roll beginning at 10 o’clock.
