Scams are still floating around the area.
Police in Woodstock say many residents have received a letter in the mail saying they are eligible to receive an unclaimed inheritance from a distant relative in the United Kingdom.
This is a fraud designed to con people out of their money and their and steal their identity.
Police say you should contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre if you receive this kind of letter.
