Proposed Huron Perth and Area Ontario Health Team submits application to province

A “sustainable people-driven system that strives to provide a positive experience for all.”

That’s what those behind the proposed Huron Perth and Area Ontario Health Team say would be in place if Ontario gives it the nod of approval.

Earlier this month, the proposed team submitted their full application to become one of the first Ontario Health Teams and they say 61 health service organizations signed off on the application detailing how they would collaborate together as part of it.

If approved by the Ministry of Health, officials say the team’s first year would integrate a full suite of healthcare services across Huron Perth and area.

The team expects to find out if it’s been approved later this fall.
