UPDATE: Stratford Police say criminal charges pending against owner of dogs that attacked man

Stratford Police say criminal charges are pending against the owner of two dogs that attacked a man in Stratford.

Police tell MyStratfordNow.com that criminal negligence causing bodily harm charges are pending following an incident where the dogs were loose for about an hour and attacked a man in the Lorne and Maple Avenue area Thursday morning.

Police say the man who was attacked suffered serious injuries to his legs and arms and its believed the dogs are the same ones that attacked a homeless man in May of this year in the city.

They tell MyStratfordNow.com that the animals appear to be guard dogs from a business in Stratford but they didn’t identify which business.

The dogs were found near Lorne Avenue and Romeo Street at about 8:00 a.m. and they are being kept at the OSPCA.
