BREAKING: One person dead following three-vehicle-collision near Lucan

One person has died following a three-vehicle collision near Lucan.

Middlesex County OPP was called out to Elginfield Road, west of Saintsbury Road, around 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon following the collision.

Police say an eastbound minivan was turning eastbound into a private drive when it was struck from behind by another eastbound sedan with the collision causing the minivan to go into the westbound lane where it was hit by a westbound commercial truck.

According to police, the driver of the minivan was transported to hospital by air ambulance where they later died, the driver of the sedan was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the truck driver wasn’t hurt.

Police continue to investigate the collision and the identity of the person killed hasn’t been released.
