Funding on the way for shoreline protection in Stratford

Money is coming from the City of Stratford for shoreline protection.

At their regular meeting on Monday night, council voted to approve $65-thousand for the installation of shoreline protection on the south side of Lake Victoria, from Waterloo Street to Morenz Drive.

The funding is coming from reallocating the approved funds from the 2019 Storm Sewer Maintenance Miscellaneous Projects capital amount.

The proposed works, to be carried out by the Upper Thames Conservation Authority, consists of a combination of caprock and cobble shoreline through much of the reach with a minimum two wooden structure to allow closer access to the shoreline and viewing area.
