Stratford Police launching Festive RIDE program soon

‘Tis the season when holiday parties will be starting.

For Day Four of Crime Prevention Week, the MyStratfordNow.com Newsroom is talking about impaired driving.

Stratford Police constable Darren Fischer says they will be out on the roads watching for impaired drivers.

“We’re going to be starting up our Festive RIDE check program fairly soon, you’ll be seeing ride checks on a regular basis throughout the week and on weekends.”

Fischer says if you plan on going out and know you will be drinking or using cannabis, plan ahead.

Stay over, have a designated driver or take a cab.

It is also important for party hosts to have a plan for guests because if you are supplying alcohol you could be held liable if something happens to your guests.
