UPDATE: Police release name of woman killed in collision near Thamesford

Police have released the name of a woman killed in a three-vehicle collision near Thamesford.

Oxford County OPP say 53-year-old Sherry Lynn Wettlaufer from Embro was airlifted to hospital after the collision happened around 10:30 Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 2 and 29th Line.

She was later pronounced dead in hospital.

The collision involved a minivan, driven by Wettlaufer, a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the pickup was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the driver of the tractor-trailer was treated at the scene with minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
