UPDATE: Police release name of person killed in collision in West Perth

UPDATE: 4:44 P.M. Friday

Perth County OPP have revealed the name of the person killed in a single-vehicle crash near St.Marys.

They say 62-year-old William Brown from West Perth was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into what caused the collision continues.

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in West Perth.

First responders were called out to Perth Line 16 around 6:20 Friday morning where they say the only person in the vehicle was pronounced dead.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until their family is notified.

Perth Line 16 between Perth Road 163 and Perth Road 143 was closed during the investigation.

Police say more details will be released when they become available.
