Police are on the trail of counterfeit money they say was passed in the area.

Around 9 o’clock Tuesday morning, Perth County OPP say they were called by employees at a business in Listowel over counterfeit money being passed there.

Police say they then got another report around 12:30 in the afternoon of counterfeit money being passed at a business in Perth East, east of Stratford.
