ATV riders could have more freedom this winter

Easier access to roadways should give ATV riders a lot more freedom this winter.

That’s the goal of looser regulations announced by the province on Friday.

The Minister of Transportation, Caroline Mulroney, says municipalities know best how off-road vehicles should be safely mixed into their communities.

It is part of the province’s plans to reduce red tape and support businesses.

The idea is to connect riders to more trail networks and attractions, which in turn should benefit rural communities the most.

This is apparently just one of 80 potential changes the province is pushing for to make life easier for businesses and residents in Ontario.
