Stratford’s future includes one public high school

The future in Stratford includes one public high school.

Trustees with the Avon Maitland District School Board voted Tuesday night on a new configuration for Stratford Central and Northwestern beginning next September.

It will see grade 7 and 8 students attend school at the former Stratford Central while grades 9 to 12 will go to school at the former Stratford Northwestern.

There will also be a two-year moratorium on having grade 7 and 8 students from Stratford area rural feeder schools moved to Central.

That begins on September 1st, 2020.
