The former well-known owner of Stratford’s Cooper Site has died.
Lawrence Ryan passed away last Sunday at the age of 63.
A court battle between Ryan and the City of Stratford over the 2009 expropriation of the Cooper Site by the city lasted a decade.
It appeared that it was coming to an end in June with a compensation hearing to be held by a Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
A funeral will be held on Saturday in Strathroy, where Ryan had been living.
