UPDATE: 26-year-old man arrested and sawed-off shotgun seized following Stratford Police investigation

UPDATE: 2:33 P.M. Thursday

Stratford Police tell MyStratfordNow.com that a 26-year-old man was arrested in the investigation.

They say he is known to them and he was scheduled to have a bail hearing on Thursday.

Police say they used a warrant to go into a home in the east end of the city around 7 o’clock Wednesday night.

In addition to the shotgun, they say also seized 2.2 grams of crystal meth and a number of unprescribed medications.

A sawed-off shotgun is off the streets and one person is in custody in Stratford.

Police say coordinated efforts and a search warrant executed by the SPS Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Unit and Uniform Division last night (Wednesday) resulted in the seizure and arrest.

One man has been remanded in custody.

Police are expecting to release more details later in the day.
