It will be a quiet day at all Avon Maitland District School Board schools.
The AMDSB says all of its schools will be closed on Wednesday due to the rotating Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation strike action.
The board says the decision was made since support staff and office staff in Avon Maitland are also represented by the OSSTF.
It will be the fourth one-day strike by the union following two walkouts at select school boards and a province-wide walkout last month.
The union says it wants to press the Progressive Conservative government to negotiate a fair deal that is good for teachers, students and the province.
