Serious collision sends 10 to hospital

A serious two-vehicle crash yesterday sent ten people to hospital.

The collision happened on Embro Road, north of Line 20.

Police were called out at around 5:10pm in the evening.

Investigation revealed one of the cars crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a van.

One child and one adult had to be airlifted to a London hospital with major injuries.

The other eight injured people were taken to a local hospital.

The crash is still being investigated.
