Police are reminding you to be wary of strange texts you receive.
An OPP West Region officer tweeted out yesterday three pictures of texts they had received.
One claimed to be from Scotiabank, another from Netflix and the third from CIBC.
They all claimed that “unusual activity” had been flagged on the accounts and each had a link to click on to rectify the issue.
The officer said they don’t have a Netflix account and they also don’t use both banks.
You’re being reminded to be cautious when you receive texts like these and to delete them without clicking on the link.
