Rehabilitation work underway on the Romeo Arch storm sewer

Officials are giving you a heads up on some rehabilitation work taking place in Stratford.

Work has started on the Romeo Arch storm sewer, from Downie Street to Waterloo Street.

It’s not expected that any streets will have to be closed for the work, but some parking spaces will be unavailable while it’s being done.

That includes the two accessible spaces on the east side of Downie Street, in front of the Avon Theatre/Theatre Store, and three spaces on the south side of George Street closest to the intersection with Waterloo Street.

Sidewalks are still open for you to walk down on both Downie and George Streets during construction, and vehicle traffic also will be maintained.

The project is expected to be completed by March 31.
