North Perth woman charged following fatal December collision

A 21-year-old woman has now been charged following a fatal collision last month.

First responders were called out to a four-vehicle crash at the Jamestown Bridge on Brussels Line around 8 o’clock at night on December 5th.

Police say their investigation revealed the female driver failed to yield to a tractor-trailer that was travelling southbound on Brussels Line.

The tractor-trailer then collided with the bridge and a northbound pickup truck.

A northbound sport-utility vehicle then collided with the rear of the vehicle.

A passenger in the pickup truck, a 62-year-old man from Sauble Beach, died as a result of the crash and the driver of the pickup truck is still in the hospital recovering from his injuries.

A 21-year-old North Huron woman has been charged with Failing to Yield to Traffic on a Through Highway and she’s scheduled to be in court in Goderich on March 3rd.
