An ambitious project got underway at the U of W Stratford Campus this morning.
The SWEA Intelligent Region Initiative is looking to build broadband infrastructure throughout the region.
Serge Lavoie is President and CEO of the Southwest Economic Alliance.
He tells us what happened today at the campus:

Lavoie says the goal is to ensure location doesn’t get in the way of opportunity:

The project is a partnership with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
Nine counties and three municipalities have already signed on.
