Meetings next week in Stratford, Perth South and Perth County focusing on proposed boundary adjustments

Meetings coming up next week in Stratford, Perth South and Perth County will focus on two proposed boundary adjustments.

The adjustments would see around 130 hectares of land in Perth South taken over by Stratford to be used as industrial lands.

It was to be talked about this past week but was put off until next week so more information on the proposal can be presented to the public.

A special council meeting is taking place in Stratford on Tuesday night regarding the issue.

It will also be discussed at Perth County Council’s regular meeting next Thursday and at Perth South’s budget meeting the same day.

If the adjustments are made, around 19 hectares of farmland in Perth South, between Perth Road 113 and Perth Line 29, would be transferred to Stratford.

Just over 111 hectares of farmland directly west of Highway 7, between Perth Line 29 and Perth Line 26, is also included in the proposal.
