HPHA beginning the process of redeveloping Avon Crest Property in Stratford

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is calling it a “once in a generation opportunity.”

The HPHA says it’s excited to confirm that it has formally begun the process of redeveloping the Avon Crest Property at the Stratford General Hospital.

They say the opportunity will aim to develop facilities and space that will contribute to the health and wellbeing of Stratford and surrounding communities for decades to come.

The process will begin by releasing a Request for Solutions that will identify qualified groups interested in partnering with the HPHA to develop the property.

HPHA President and CEO Andrew Williams says they are looking for ideas that respect the importance of the original hospital and also add value to the areas healthcare system.

“I think we’re really open-minded at this point in time, there are immediate pressures on the healthcare system but I think we’re looking for some creative and innovative ideas.”

Williams adds as the development process continues they will provide opportunities for the public to share their feedback on it.
