Drug charges laid following vehicle stop in Stratford

Drug charges have been laid against two people following a traffic stop in Stratford.

Around 2:40 Sunday afternoon, police stopped a Ford Explorer that was travelling on Huron Street and didn’t have license plates.

Police say the driver couldn’t provide any documents for the vehicle and he was detained while the status of the vehicle was investigated.

An officer searched the vehicle and found 82 grams of suspected Meth, 6 grams of suspected Fentanyl, 3.5 grams of suspected Cocaine, and a large amount of cash.

The driver has been identified as a 48-year-old man while the passenger has been identified as a 28-year-old man.

They were both charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and three counts of Possession of a Substance.
