Perth County has a new claim to fame.
It comes after their Economic Development and Tourism Division won an Award of Excellence at The Economic Developers Council of Ontario Conference last week.
The award is for the creation of the Discover More Flavour Farm Gate Map Project with the awards handed out annually and representing the best of the best in economic development work across the province.
Officials say the multi-year project contains two components, a hard-copy printed map and an interactive digital map, which are both based around local food-based farm gates.
The award recipients were chosen from nearly 100 submissions.
