Police searching for suspects following attempted home invasion robbery

Huron County OPP are hunting for three suspects after an attempted home invasion robbery over the weekend.

Police say they were called out to a home on Mount Caramel Drive, near Huron Park, around 12:30 Sunday morning after three male suspects confronted one of the homeowners at their doorstep and forced their way into the home.

Once they got in, one of the suspects assaulted the victim with a weapon and started making demands for money.

While this was happening another family member in the home was able to call 9-1-1.

The suspects took off once they realized police had been called and they ran to a vehicle that was waiting nearby.

The suspects were believed to be all males. Two were wearing all black with hooded sweatshirts, gloves and face coverings. The third suspect is described as being over 6 feet tall and he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a covering over his face.

Anyone with information on what happened is asked to call Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
