Stratford Police investigating home invasion robbery in St.Marys

Stratford Police are reminding you to be vigilant when strangers come to your home.

It comes after they say they were called to a home on James Street North in St. Marys around 9:30 Monday night following a home invasion robbery.

They say two men confronted the homeowner at the doorstep and forced their way into the home with one of the men threatening the victim with a weapon and demanding money.

The second suspect ransacked the home while this was happening, according to police, and took items from the home to a waiting vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white dual cab pick-up truck, make and model unknown.

It was last observed backed into the driveway of the residence and its direction of travel upon leaving the driveway is unknown.

The two male suspects were wearing all black with one having his face concealed with a balaclava.

Both males were described as having a thin build, but no further description was available.

Anyone with information on what happened is asked to call Stratford Police or Crime Stoppers.
