You’re being warned about a COVID-19 scam making the rounds.
The Huron Perth Public Health Unit says they are getting reports of the telephone scam where someone calls you and tells you that you’ve tested positive for COVID-19.
They then ask for your credit card number to pay for antibiotics.
HPPH says they will never do this and that this is a scam.
If you get a call like this, you should call the police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
