Ontario says

In the province’s daily update, Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health, Dr. Barbara Yaffe revealed some trends in the numbers of Ontario cases.

Dr. Yaffe said that out of 588 cases in the province, over 40 percent of the cases’ exposure information is still being investigated.

As for cases where exposure was traced, cases investigated showed that 65 percent were travel-based exposure, 20 percent were close contact and 13 percent were exposed to the virus through community transmission.  Community transmission means people have been infected with the virus in an area but are not sure how or where they became infected.

Out of the travel-based cases, the two most common destinations were the U.S. and Europe, with 29 percent travelling to the US, and 28 percent to Europe.

She says to date 31 health workers have tested positive for COVID 19. There are now 588 cases of COVID-19 in Ontario and seven people have died with 10-thousand more waiting for test results and 20-thousand people who have tested negative.
