In-person Relay for Life events cancelled over COVID-19

Add another event to the list of those cancelled over COVID-19.
Organizers with the Huron-Perth Canadian Cancer Society say any in-person Relay for Life events in Ontario will not take place this year and they won’t be rescheduled.
They say they understand how critical it is to contain COVID-19, because people living with cancer are at a heightened risk .
Moving forward, they say there has been a group assembled to create a renewed and aligned community giving plan that is actively looking at how CCS can engage the Relay community this year.
The plan will be rooted in the assumption that social distancing will be in place for some time and will focus on inspiring and engaging people in a virtual environment.
