St.Marys waiving all penalties and interest charges on municipal payments

St. Marys residents are getting a break when it comes to municipal payments.
Earlier this week, St.Marys Town Council passed a resolution to waive all penalties and interest charges on municipal payments, including property taxes and child care bills, for thirty days.
Officials say the move is being made to help alleviate the financial burdens residents and business owners face in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Because property taxes make up the bulk of the Town’s annual revenue, the municipality is asking those that can afford to pay their bills on time to do so.
The next property tax installment is due for those that can pay on Friday, May 29th.
