Stratford Festival announces surplus

The Stratford Festival is looking back at the year that was.

They held their annual general meeting virtually on Saturday morning, the first time in 60 years it hasn’t been held in person at the Festival Theatre, due to COVID-19.

Festival officials announced a 2019 surplus of $138,297 on revenue of $63.8 million for the year gone by.

They add the festival was also recently given partial occupancy of the new Tom Patterson which came on the same day they had to temporarily lay off staff due to the virus.
