Perth County OPP have charged a young person after a high school in Mitchell was broken into.
Around 3:30 Friday afternoon, police say they were called to Mitchell District High School after an alarm went off.
Officers reported someone had smashed the glass in a door to get into the building with additional damage found inside.
A youth, who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was found hiding in the school and they now face break and enter and mischief charges.
They are scheduled to appear in court in Stratford in the future.
