West Perth man faces charges after failing to stop for police

A 36-year-old West Perth man faces charges after police say he failed to stop for officers.
Around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, a Huron County OPP officer reported seeing a compact car travelling without license plates on John Street in Wingham.
The officer attempted to pull over the vehicle however the driver immediately hit the gas and failed to stop.
The officer didn’t pursue the dangerous driver however they were able to provide a description of the driver and a passenger.
Within a few minutes another officer spotted the suspects entering into a residence located on Victoria Street and the driver was taken into custody.
He faces charges including dangerous operation and flight from peace officer.
