A second resident at a Stratford long-term care home has died from COVID-19.
In an update Tuesday afternoon, Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen says a second resident has died from the virus at Greenwood Court.
The death of the first resident was announced on Saturday.
Dr.Klassen says there have been 6 confirmed cases in residents at the home and 5 confirmed cases in staff with tests still pending for another resident and staff member.
She says the resident at Hillside Manor who was confirmed to have the virus has now recovered and has moved out of isolation.
Meanwhile, Dr,Klassen says the spouse of the Stratford Transit driver who was confirmed to have COVID-19 has now been confirmed to also have the virus.
That person is also a Stratford Transit driver and is now in self-isolation.
