A familiar face is now the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Stratford.
Joan Thomson, who served as the acting CAO city after being appointed last July, is now in the position on a permanent basis.
Stratford City Council held a special meeting Tuesday afternoon to appoint Thomson to the position.
Thomson has been with the City of Stratford for more than 30 years, and has served in a series of progressive roles before being named as City Clerk in 1999.
Meanwhile, Janice Beirness has been appointed as Acting Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer for the city.
