Two people charged following late night chase

Police say two people each face numerous charges after a late night chase.
Around 12:05 Wednesday morning, Huron County OPP reported seeing a sedan travelling eastbound on Hydro Line Road without a front license plate.
Police say the driver also didn’t lower their high beams as it approached the police vehicle.
As the police vehicle turned around the suspect driver immediately accelerated away.
Officers then followed at a distance and waited until they had some back up units in the area.
Police tried to stop the vehicle on Perth Line 34 but the driver failed to stop and took off towards Dublin.
Police say they tried to stop the suspect’s vehicle with a spike belt but it continued driving on bare rims toward Seaforth.
The accused then sideswiped a police car in the chase and it wasn’t until just outside of Seaforth before police were able to get the suspect vehicle safely stopped.
Once they stopped the vehicle, the driver resisted arrest, which resulted in police utilizing a conducted energy weapon .
A 22-year-old Huron East man and a 23-year-old Arran-Elderslie woman each face a long list of charges.
