No new cases of COVID-19 in Huron Perth for sixteenth day in a row

There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Huron Perth for 16 days in a row.
Huron Perth Public Health provided the update Tuesday morning with the overall number of cases in the region remaining at 49.
The number of deaths from the virus also remains at five.
HPPH reports another 69 people have been tested since yesterday with the total number of tests at 2,447 since the pandemic began.
There are 66 test results pending with negative test results now sitting at 97-percent.
HPPH is also reporting they have tested 2,770 residents and staff of long-term care homes and 60 tests of staff in emergency child care centres.
Those numbers are not included in the general testing data. 
There are two remaining outbreaks in long-term care, one at Braemar Retirement Centre in North Huron where two staff members have tested positive and the other at Exeter Villa where one staff member has been diagnosed.
HPPH notes that staff members of homes who have tested positive but do not live in the region are not counted in the number of active cases in Huron-Perth.
