Changes are being made to the way Huron Perth Public Health reports on COVID-19 results in the region.
HPPH says in an update released on Monday that they are aligning with public health across the province and will return to their usual practice of not reporting on their website the number of people who test negative.
They say they will be reporting the province’s estimate of the total number of tests taken in Huron and Perth counties with that number including repeat tests on the same individual.
HPPH says they will continue to report positive cases, including demographics such as age, gender, and municipality.
They add they also won’t be updating the numbers on their website on weekends.
They say they will revisit the decision in the event of an increase in community transmission and cases.
