Stratford Police says an impaired driver has been charged after causing chaos at the Wildwood Conservation Area.
Around 2:30 Sunday afternoon, SPS says they received several calls about an SUV speeding through the picnic area by the beach at Wildwood.
Officers arrived on the scene and reported that a Conservation Officer had been able to safely stop the vehicle with the driver then getting out.
A 59-year-old London man was arrested for Impaired Driving and he was brought to police headquarters where officers say he provided breath samples which showed he was over the legal limit for alcohol.
He’s been charged with several offences including Operation while Impaired by Alcohol and he has a court appearance scheduled for late August.
