On Wednesday, Randy Pettapiece, on behalf of Ernie Hardeman, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, announced a Request for Proposals by Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology Inc.
SWIFT is a not-for-profit corporation initiated by the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus to address connectivity in Southwestern Ontario.
The program for the RFP makes way for up to $5.5 million in broadband infrastructure expansion.
The RFP for Perth County closes on November 20th and the contract will be awarded and service provider agreement put in place shortly after the RFP closes.
